The Cake Vault is a Gold Coast based business that puts a delicious twist on the classic concept - swapping canvases for cakes and paintbrushes for piping bags.
We’re not a class-based business. Instead, we provide everything you need to get hands-on and have fun - giving you full creative control to decorate your cake however you like. Whether you’re a beginner or a cake lover just looking to have a good time, our events are all about freedom, fun, and flavour.
Each 2-hour event includes:
A double-layered deluxe vanilla cake (pre-crumb coated and ready to go)
Individual vanilla buttercream containers
A full range of decorating tools and edible/non edible supplies
Use of our custom decorating tables setup
A take-home cake box for your finished masterpiece
Just bring your favourite drinks, your friends, and your imagination - we’ll take care of the rest!
How We Started
Friends since 2009, Taryn and Jannifer share a bond that has grown over the years, stretching from year 9 to motherhood. We’ve experienced so much together, including having all of our children at the same time (same ages).
The idea for The Cake Vault originated in early 2024, when Jannifer wanted something creative and unique for her own baby shower. Inspired by the classic ‘Paint & Sip’, an experience was created for others to enjoy the therapeutic and fun nature of decorating cakes!
Along with this idea, we both also have a passion for cake decorating - but primarily for family and friends as they’re “good but not that good”. And that’s the appeal for our Cake & Sip events…you just have fun with it!
After receiving comments and questions about how fun it was/it looked, Taryn and Jannifer thought to make it even bigger and better and create something special for anyone looking to connect, unwind and express themselves.
We focus on empowering creativity while making it easy for guests to relax and enjoy the moment. Our vision is to grow The Cake Vault into a space where anyone can step away from the everyday hustle and create something memorable, whether at pop-up events or private bookings.
You don’t have to be a baker or even know a thing about cake decorating, but we promise you’ll surprise yourself!
